Did you realize how popular yugioh cards are. People around the world go crazy for this game. They waste their money on a piece of paper and duel each other. The game seem to be more like than regular card game since player can raise their chances and win everytime.

yugioh cards first came out at the begining of 2002. It is a popular kid shows but the game are said to be play by anyone. Most people I ask that play the game don't even know about the show. This is a show about a boy name yugi play a card game to win respect and said to save the world with a duel. This would be riduculus to fight bad guys with cards in the real world. I mean police and criminal don't drop their weapon and play a card game to decide who wins. But since this is a popular children cartoon, kids are fool to believing whatever. The cards that was made in the show was copied and exact duplicate was made in real world. At first, I was amazed, since I was little, to find that I have the same cards as the hero in the show. It really made my day when my mom bought me pack of yugioh cards.
The cartoon shows different strategy combine with cards can be use to win the duel. Then, kids use these strategies in real life against each other. Other than how much this show made, the card game made even more with people constantly buying cards to increase their chance to win. It is insane people paying more than 10 dollar on some of these cards. I mean they are just made of paper, yet people spend so much on them. I honestly spend over 200 dollar on yugioh card all my life. Some cards on yugioh go over 40 dollars, and some even go over hundred depending on how rare it is. If there is only few copy of a card in the world, it would cost a lot of money. But that is not the case, Konami makes a lot of copies of a card. yet, the strong cards cost at least 4 dollar. A player can also buy packs, which normally cost 4 dollar. Each packs only contain one good card. So, one has to buy a lot of pack to make a good deck. There are over million different kind of cards.
This game is not like poker where there is a chance. A player can put any kind of card in their deck. Most deck contain 40 cards. Also, most deck has 20 monsters, 12 magic, and 8 traps. The player with the best card and best combo wins. A player can put cards to protect them from losing or cards to win the duel. Both player have 8000 Life points. One most take away all the life point from the other to win the duel. To begin dueling both player shuffle their deck and cut each other deck to prevent player from arranging the card or cheating. Player draw cards randomly like most card games. There are cards that bring out specific cards from your deck but other than that player can't choose the card to draw.
Each turn, player draw a card from their deck. A moster without special condition with a Level 4 or less can be summon without a tribute. A monster with Level 5 to 6 need one monster tribute. A monster with Level 7 or more need two tribute. When there is no monster on the opponent side, player is allow to attack directly and take away life point equal to the atk. if there is a monster but with less Atk, then that moster is destroy, and take away the difference of the atk from the player that has the less Atk and send the monster to the graveyard. If the monster choose to be in def mode and has less def than atk than there is no take away of life point but the monster is destroyed. if the monster is in def mode and has more def than the atk then the def monster is not destroy and the player attack loses the difference of atk to def, but neither monster is destroy. Player must sommoner stronger monster with more atk than def of the opponent moster to destroy it and sent it to the graveyard. Spell card can only be activated during the player turn unless it is a quick play spell card, which can be activated in opponents turn. Spell card usually help the monster or any other task. Some spell card are continuous and and stay on the field always and effect is permanent. Trap card can only be activated one turn later because it takes time to plan a trap. Player must set in down to activate it later. Like spell card, some trap cards are permanent and can be over and over again. There are different kind of spell, trap, and monster that are different than normal cards. But I won't discuss them to beginner. So, these different kind of cards combine to make a player win the duel.
