Laptop Battery Dilema

Laptop Battery Dilema

As you have all probably experienced, the battery life of a laptop, portable DVD player, or, other numerous types of portable media, seem to be a bit too short for convenience. Well, It's a very common problem, with no foreseeable solution. This is a topic especially touchy for business people, like myself, that need to have a portable office of sorts. You see people in airports, subway stations, and train depots, all experiencing the "low battery chirp" as I like to call it. Basically, it's your computer's way of saying "F*^* You" to you, and, to add insult to injusy, dies too fast for you to plug it in, to prevent the loss of all your information.

Another product that seems to have this problem, is a portable DVD player. Please ignore my ignorance, but, doesn't the name, "Portable DVD Player", suggest that the equipment is portable, or, able to be transported without loss of functionality? Maybe it's just me,
but, the way I see it, if you only get about halfway through a movie, and t shuts down because of a low battery, shouldn't it have a name other thn portable? Maybe, semi-portable-needs-to-be-plugged-in-soon DVD Player? Whatever. Point is, that no matter howyou try to justify it, you still end up getting screwed in the end on battery life.

Other products that have this issue, is CD Players, MP3 Players.. And let's not forget the very touchy, iPod series. Those things seem to be the worst out of them all... I understand that you can charge an iPod through a USB port, but, what if I'm not around a USB port, and my battery dies? What then? Just an "o well"? I don't think so... Why the iPod Packagers couldn't throw in a wall charger is beyond my comprehension, but, it seems they think a smaller package, with a sleek look sells better than a package that may be a little bigger, but, contains a charger.. I think they need to reconsider who they hired in their marketing department..

Corruptio, I know they have ubs to wall, but, the point of the article is that they should include a wall charger, instead of making the onsumer spend more money to use something they already own...
