Evony. The new mmorpg about growing your city and expanding your empire and ultimately world domination. So what is this new game all about? Well let me tell you all about the massive online world of Evony. When you first start out you choose which picture will represent your character to other people from a wide variety of pictures (after you choose your username of course) unfortunatly you cannot submit your own. Also you can customize what your flag says which is flying above your city when other people see you. Now moving on to your city. You start out evony with nothing but some land, a town hall, and some gaurding walls made of sticks. Pretty weak, huh? You begin by making a couple of cottages to grow your population and start your journey. You start Evony with something called Beginners Protection (BP) which protects you from neighboring cities who could attack you and plunder your resources (you will be able to do this to other people once your BP is up), but we are getting ahead of ourselves. There are 4 main resources: Lumber, Stone, Iron, and Food. Lumber is the most important and valuable because you need it for the most things. You can get resources by building things like sawmills for lumber, quarrys for stone, ironmines for iron, and farms for food. Every building in evony can be upgraded to make more, be stronger, or hold more. The real special part about Evony (which isent always so special) is that you have to wait for a certain amount of time for each building to build. This time limit can range from 20 seconds to build a level 1 farm to 46 hours to build level 8 walls. This can be a huge nuisance but you can get items that speed up the process from either quests (which are extremely handy when you are in a squeeze) or from ingame Cents which you buy with real money. However Cents aren't the only currency in Evony, the currency you dont have to pay real money for is called Gold (real original i know). You don't use it as much as resouces but it can be used to buy more resources from the market place which other people can sell to you. Another cool feature is being able to conquer forests and swamps and other natural resources to gain more resources of your own. Also you can conquer flats and build another city so you can have more resources and expand your empire. The last feature i am going to cover today is the feature to join an alliance. there is an option to create an alliance once you build and embassy which lets you invite other people to it and have enemy alliances, friendlies and neutrals. There is not a real purpose to joining or creating an alliance other than for the friendship. Well i hope you try Evony because it truly is a great game. Full of mystery, adventure, and some betrayal, i hope you really enjoy your experience at Evony.
